The aims of TMS ART GALLERY are to create awareness and appreciation of the works of batik artists and provide encouragement and support to artists by providing a venue to display their artworks.

What TMS ART GALLERY does:
We provide the following professional services, resources, skills and knowledge to the artist:
- 1. the premise of TMS ART GALLERY as an exhibition space for the artist’s work during exhibitions;
- 2. coordination and execution of exhibition and press launch, inclusive of marketing and publicity materials pertaining to the exhibition and the press launch of the artist’s exhibition;
- 3. light F&B catering for the artist’s press launch
- 4. Invitation card design and mailing (postage included) to up to 50,000 people in TMS ART database. SMS notification, e-newsletter forwarding, 1000 copies of invitation cards (A5)
Responsibilities of the Artist
Guidelines to Submission of Requested Materials & Documents
- 1. Artist Booking Form
- Please complete all the information requested in the booking form, and refer to the checklist to ensure that all requested materials and documents have been attached to your application.
- 2. Artist Biography and/or CV
- The purpose of the artist Biography and/or CV is to allow us to get to know you as an artist, and to get a clearer picture and appreciation of the artist’s work. The information provided by you will also be helpful in the production of marketing and publicity materials for your exhibition, such as the press release.
Please include a short biography and/or CV of your career and experiences as an artist. This will include the following information:
- a. Your name, age, and other vital information
- b. When and how did you get started in Art
- c. A short history of your education in Art, such as schools and/or classes attended
- d. Listings of any awards, medals, prizes, honorable mentions and exhibitions
- e. Listings of any art assignments, projects or jobs offered and/or completed
- f. Influences or particular interests in Art.
3. Samples of Work
TMS ART GALLERY organizes exhibitions according to the theme of the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. To give us a clearer idea of where your works might fit in according to our theme, samples of your work in the form of pictures and/or photographs will be necessary.
4. Summary and/or description of works exhibited
The purpose of the summary/description of works exhibited is to help us in understanding your works. The information collected will also be used in the production of your marketing collaterals. Please include the following items in your summary/description, together with any other relevant information:
- a. Theme(s) and/or Titles(s) of the entire collection, or pieces of art works
- b. Total number of art works, and their dimensions(e.g. size of a painting)
- c. Media (um): oil, water colours, photographs, slides, sculptures, etc…
